Had an interesting conversation this morning that made me remember an article on Ars Technica on Intel’s 48-core cloud-datacenter-on-a-chip. Couple that with Barrelfish, a research OS for multi- and many-core systems, we may see a new generation of new servers/data centers.

Here’s the Intel video on the chip (not very polished, but explains what it is):
